AKAFLDWRK began as the convergence of AK A and the former lemayLAB into a design research collective intended to support and define the future of large practice. it brought AK A ‘s commitment to design research, academic initiatives and design excellence.
AKAFLDWRK is the converged research and design collective comitted to a continual evolution of design practice as a force for change.
AKAFLDWRK uses applied research and strategic design methodologies to undertake real-world challenges, allowing us to investiate design methodologies to undertake real-world challenges, allowing us to investigate forward-looking solutions by using speculative storeyteling. its approach is rooted in critical thinking based on a collaborative process.
AKAFLDWRK is curretly working within five research apertures in over a dozen collaborations with universities, foundations, communities, commercial and institutional organizations, journals, and forums for the projection of a positive future.
AKAFLDWRK works at the intersection of research and practice. projects become laboratories: spaces for exploring, prototyping and experimenting radical hypotheses in the face evolving contexts.
